A recycling system sorts electronic waste based on reference images. For fast sorting with accurate results, the system must work with very short constant exposure times of the vision devices. The current LED lighting control with a maximum voltage of 48 volts and various LED drivers should be replaced in order to achieve a higher throughput of electronic waste.
With the extremely robust and its very precise and flexible settings, the IPSC2 flash control from SMARTEK Vision, high-voltage pulses of up to 200 volts are possible. The lighting can therefore be strobed with 4 times the intensity and electrical waste can be sorted twice as many as before
