BAUMER
CX series – more speed and flexibility with firmware
release 2

Image Baumer continues to upgrade the successful CX series with the latest CMOS sensors and up to 12 megapixel resolution. Now, firmware release 2 is speeding up image processing to greater than 1000 fps by ROI selection (Region Of Interest). The new standard-compliant sequencer in conjunction with the existing burst mode open up virtually unlimited possibilities in dynamic applications.

Thanks to ON Semiconductor PYTHON sensors, partially selected pixels are being read out not only vertically but also horizontally at increased speed, which results in significantly higher ROI frame rates. Read more ›

COGNEX introduces Introduces the In-Sight Laser Profiler

Image Cognex Corporation introduced the In-Sight® Laser Profiler, an easy-to-use measurement system that verifies part dimensions. Cognex vision tools, accurate object detection and the EasyBuilder® interface make the new profiler an intuitive and highly reliable tool for obtaining height, gap, position, and angle measurements and detecting defects on the factory floor.

Part profile verifications are used across a wide range of industries, including automotive, electronics, consumer products, and food and beverage, to ensure parts are manufactured within specified tolerances.

SVS-VISTEK
Hot: EXO with a specified temperature range of -10 to +60°C

Image In industrial machine vision, cameras and components are frequently exposed to very rough conditions. In such conditions, equipment specified for use in a standard temperature range of between 10 and 45°C frequently meets its limits, meaning that secure operations can no longer be guaranteed. SVS-Vistek has responded to the request of many customers from industry and is now building all EXO models featuring the Sony IMX sensor to operate in temperatures from -10 to +60 °C, thus setting new standards for industrial cameras. Mitsubishi Electric Line Scan Bar: The scanner for industry

Image They’re already widely used in offices or at ticket vending machines, but they’re only known to insiders within the industry: documents, cards or bank notes are often read and checked by scanners. Mitsubishi Electric has responded to the needs of the industry and has made this technology available for production, with the launch of a high-speed version of its Contact Image Sensor (CIS), distributed under the name Mitsubishi Electric Line Scan Bar.
Scanners have long been the standard tool in the office and in private use to digitize printed material, nearly every printer provides this function these days. The method behind it’s operation is known: traditional scanners capture the images line by line and combine these individual “image strips” in order to produce an overall image.
