Active Silicon’s latest embedded vision product is the Vision Processing Unit (VPU), designed to acquire image data from USB3 Vision cameras, process the image stream in real-time and provide several options for data output, including 3G-SDI.

FUJIFILM Europe GmbH has announced the upgrade of formerly 3 megapixel series “HF-XA” to officially 5 megapixel series “HF-5M”. In 2016, the HF-XA series was released with “3 megapixel” resolution but in fact, the resolution of the majoritiy of all lenses is able to support 5 megapixel cameras easily.

LMI launches two new Structured Light 3D Snapshot Sensors
LMI Technologies announced the official launch of the Gocator 3210 and 3506, the latest additions to the Gocator line of smart, all-in-one structured light 3D snapshot sensors.
The Gocator 3210 achieves 3D snapshot scans at 35 μm. Teledyne DALSA launched its Calibir GX series of long wave infrared (LWIR) cameras for industrial vision applications. Built to achieve frame rates of up to 90 fps, the shutterless and small form-factor GX series are ideal for non-destructive testing in applications that include food inspection, parts and packaging, and electronics inspection. XENICS presents latest Tigris-640 cooled midwave infrared (MWIR) camera
As a successor to the Onca MWIR camera, the Tigris-640 is a cooled MWIR camera equipped with a state-of-the-art InSb or MCT detector with 640 x 512 pixels and pixel pitch of 15 µm. Both detectors also have BroadBand (BB) versions optionally which allow their spectral sensitivity to be extended into the shortwave infrared band (SWIR). A motorized filter wheel is standard and the cameras are equipped with a variety of interfaces including GigE Vision, CameraLink, analog out, HD-SDI and a configurable trigger in-output, for maximum flexibility.
