Sony® Launches the IMX990 SXGA and IMX991 VGA Visible and SWIR Based Imagers
Sony Semiconductor Solutions has launched two new image sensors that include both the visible and short wavelength infrared (SWIR) ranges in captured images. The IMX990 and IMX991 sensors utilize the industry’s smallest 5µm pixel size of any InGaAs based sensor.
These sensors leverage Sony’s original SenSWIR technology and are SXGA 1/2-type and VGA 1/4-type imagers that are being made available by decades-long partner and vision expert, FRAMOS®. Both these products utilize a 5µm square pixel that can capture light wavelengths that are both visible and nonvisible to the human eye. Read more ›
VISION COMPONENTS
MIPI camera and driver for NVIDIA developer kit
Vision Components has added a new starter pack to its MIPI product range for embedded vision projects: users simply connect the camera module and MIPI cable to their NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit, and they are ready set to start application development.
Additional accessories are included, notably the necessary driver, allowing users to save development time and costs. Customers have the free choice of sensor from the largest available range of machine vision sensors with a MIPI interface. Currently, sensor resolutions up to 20 megapixels are available. The starter pack also includes a lens holder (C/CS-mount or S-mount) and a shielded 200-mm FPC cable. Read more ›
WHEC
Large Format CIS for Machine Vision
CIS was initially developed for the use in documents scanning machines like fax machines, scanners and copiers, and banknote and check reading machines like banking terminals. Those applications can be totally satisfied under a scanning width between 100mm to 300mm.
Along with the popularization of CIS which replaced demagnification optical system CCD, the demand for large format CIS that enables the scanning of large objects, such as large-scale prints and cloth has increased.
Since there is a large volume of reading data in large format CIS, advanced technological hurdles, such as the requirement for high-speed reading must be overcome. Large format CIS with various specifications that satisfies such requirements is now beginning to appear. Read more ›
XIMEA
Smallest industrial USB3 camera with 18 Mpix is released into production
XIMEA has prepared for production the smallest industrial USB3 imager with the highest resolution yet.
It started with camera models based on 5 Mpix sensors using USB 2.0 interface and now XIMEA made accessible for the general public the first miniature cameras with On Semiconductor CMOS sensor providing 18 Mpix at more than 20 Fps. The newcomer called MU181 is a part of the xiMU line of industrial USB3 cameras enhanced with the ever popular USB 3.1 Gen1 interface.
All mini cam models from the xiMU family have the same front side housing format of mere 15 x 15 mm and can be equipped with S-mount lenses (M12) or C-mount through attaching a simple adapter. Read more ›
