We are the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing. Our passion and mission is to develop computational methods that enable trail-blazing applications. Our work transcends the boundaries of disciplines or faculties, and bridges scientific cultures from engineering to the humanities.
The IWR is organizing the Heidelberg Image Processing Forum: www.bv-forum.de since 1995. This forum became the leading continuous education event and contact forum between industry and research in Germany in the field of image processing. The IWR also hosts a Scientific Software Center and has developed new forms of private-public partnerships.
As part of the Master Program Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics, companies can offer industrial internships: https://mastersc.iwr.uni-heidelberg.de/internships
