ROBOCEPTION
“… we were able to […] provide our customer with the perfect solution.”
At Danfoss, a Danish manufacturer of mobile hydraulics as well as electronic and electrical components, robotic systems equipped with 3D sensors now reliably and precisely recognize and move a large number of different components.
In the new production line implemented by Danish integrator Quality Robot Systems (QRS), a total of six KUKA robots take over work steps that were previously performed manually. For this, the robotic cells must recognize and move up to 100 different components without manual intervention. Read more ›

AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY
AT MetrologyPackage: In 10 Minutes to Your 3D Application!
Install the sensor, scan the object, visualize and evaluate the measurement data: and all of these steps within just 10 minutes. As part of the new AT SolutionPackage, the MetrologyPackage focuses specifically on metrology applications and significantly simplifies the integration, configuration and commissioning of sensors. Therefore, the AT customer can start immediately using his new 3D sensor. And the absolute novelty: The first 3D image can be created after just a few minutes.
Particularly exciting: The package supports fully automatic alignment according to the reference point system (RPS). This makes it possible, among other things, to align the individual images of several partial scans, or even several sensors with different perspectives, with each other using reference data and to combine them into “real” 3D images of the entire object. New Triton™ HDR Camera Featuring AltaView™ On-Camera Adaptive Tone Mapping
LUCID Vision Labs, Inc. announced the launch of its new 5.4 MP Triton HDR camera featuring the AltaView on-camera adaptive tone mapping engine.
The Triton HDR TDR054S utilizes the Sony IMX490 (BSI) back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor, allowing for simultaneous 120 dB HDR imaging and LED flicker mitigation thanks to its sub-pixel technology. Featuring LUCID’s AltaView™ adaptive tone mapping engine, the camera delivers real-time tone-mapped image output directly from the camera, producing data-rich 8-bit images with enhanced details in the shadows and highlights. The optimized AltaView output offers perceptually equivalent lower bit depth HDR images, reducing CPU/GPU resources required for efficient AI processing and mobile sensing applications, eliminating the need to create a custom tone mapping algorithm on a host PC and accelerating development time.
