The ISO – International Organization for Standardization is a network of 172 national standards bodies. ISO members are the foremost standards organizations in their country and there is only one member per country. Each member represents ISO in its country.
Based on this structure, experts motivated to share their expertise to the ISO-24942 initiative need to be nominated by their local national standards organisation. The national standards organisation is free to nominate several experts to join the same ISO working group.
The before said results in the first step to join which is contacting the respective national body and request the expert nomination. A good overview of such entities may be found at www.iso.org/about/members. Simply on the world map click your country and you get the main contact information.
For some national standards organizations the EMVA office has direct individual contact details – for assistance get in touch via standards(at)emva.org.
